Hey folks, long time lurker here - thanks for all the shared knowledge and expertise! Been researching for years, hoping to own a T4R someday. Had our first child, a baby girl, 5 weeks ago, and needed/wanted a bigger vehicle than our Hyundai Elantra for a family hauler. Scooped a very basic 08 with the two specs I really wanted - 4wd and V8. It happened to be shadow mica, which was my 3rd choice for color, so not bad - and turns out I like the color even more seeing it more up close in person.
Got a real blank slate here, so I'm looking forward to revisiting many of Y'alls builds I've bookmarked over the years to choose my first mods. Planning to start small: roof rack mounting solution, got a bare roof - maybe design/fab something myself, or find a stock unit used - I'd be interested in the non-tubular stock rack; want to kick the wheels out a bit - need to research downsides with bearing wear, etc; maybe small lift at some point - ~1.5", not sure yet what I want to do with front rake adjustment; and off-road tires for fun and winter in MN.
Mostly, just want to get out of the city and hit some trails - see what it takes to get it stuck so I know what needs upgrading first 
It's still under 30 day warranty period from dealer, so I'm trying to put it through the paces to make sure everything works. I think I've hit everything but the DAC - gotta find a long off-street hill to test that out. Issues I've had come up: driveshaft clunk - refilled empty joints with grease, seems to have resolved; TPMS light on yesterday - below zero outside, need to check spare tire pressure today; moisture in driver side headlight enclosure - dealer sent replacement, need to install.
