Exclusive Survival Bracelet Survey

:nerd:......good lord people.....it is just part of the name of the item. He wasn't saying it was the end all be all "Survival" item.....lol.

I wear one on duty, it could come in VERY handy, I have 14 feet of 500# para cord on my wrist that could potentially be used to drag a fellow firefighter out of a bad situation.

I love these things but can't quite imagine a fellow firefighter being in a life or death situation and you taking the time to remember your bracelet and then take it off and figure how to untie/unravel it to make it useful. I'm just hoping if you're a firefighter and on duty, you have better tools than a bracelet.

That being said, I'll take one. Can you make one for an ankle though? I'm not super keen on wearing one around my wrist all the time.

"Survival"? Ooookay. Drop someone in the desert with a box of these, and in a week you'll find a colorfully-decorated corpse. Water packets, first-aid kits, a good knife, a compass--those are "survival" aids. What is a bracelet supposed to save you from? I'm sure McGyver could put these together with some paper clips and build a shopping mall, but in the real world, this is what they call a gimmick. If you want paracord, buy a spool at the local army surplus shop.

^^^HA...not trying to be negative towards the OP but thats funny!

For those of us that don't really get the point, could someone explain. Are these sewn in a certain way which makes then easy to unravel in emergencies or what? Also, is it only braclets? Could I get socks, maybe shoe laces or even a wallet made of paracord?...what ever that is!

You can have whatever you want made out of paracord. For me I see them as something to wear with me camping. I tie stuff up all the time. The uses I can imagine are mostly non-emergency related.

Lol true. Most of our bunker gear has a firefighter rescue system built into it. But it's no different than carrying webbing in my bunker gear really.
