Exhaust Pricing - Magnaflow/Borla

Any info is greatly appreciated. I have an 06 V6 Sport and am considering an aftermarket exhaust. I have seen the information regarding the different choices and am probably going to go with the Magnaflow. My question concerns pricing. I see this setup advertised from $545 to $606? The best price I was able to find (make an offer) was $441. Is that a reasonable price? Has anyone had luck finding this system recently for less?

no, the best price for the magnaflow (brand new) ive seen is 546, the gibson is lower, so 441 for the mag. seems decent. prices seem to have gone up on lots of stuff lately. one thought, u could just get the muffler , cut the res. off & put a new tip on directed to the side or whereever u want & save money, u could even get a muffler with dual exits & have a shop do a dual setup like the borla for much less $.

Agreed, if you want to save yourself some money that's the route to go. I just bought the muffler (flowmaster) and had a shop cut out the old and just weld in the new one. 140 otd, and I will go back and have the shop cut my resonator off and exit it to the side. Get the same look, for about 1/3 of the price.

Thanks for the advice and info guys. I was looking for a good day project, so I think I will probably spend the couple extra bucks and do it myself.

Yeah, I just got quoted $130 for a Magnaflow muffler and install, getting it on Friday, way cheaper than a "exhaust system".
