Exhaust Problem (super 44)

Hey everyone, after a year of thinking my exhaust was too tame I finally decided to go get a super 44 muffler installed. Now I already had a flowmaster cat-back which was great, it had very little almost unnoticeable sound at idle and when you gave it gas sounded pretty good but I decided I wanted it a little more burly. I've read a lot of reviews on the super 44 and heard its almost too loud on the V8 with the resonator intact, now my cat-back doesn't have a muffler so I was worried it would almost be over the top. So I just had went and had it installed and I'm confused because it doesn't sound much different then before. At idle I don't hear anything from inside the car and outside I can barely here it and I was expecting a deep rumble. And when I give it gas its a tad louder than my cat-back before but barely and as the rpm's get higher it gets quieter. I'm absolutely furious because this isn't what i wanted at all. i have watched a ton of videos and I was expecting a deep rumble at idle and a solid muscle sound when giving it gas. Is there something that may be causing it to be really quiet? I didn't buy the muffler myself, The shop I had it done at ordered and installed it so I'm wondering if they put something else on? Although when I look at it it looks like the right one. I'm also wondering if my cat back would suppress the sound of the super 44? I don't think this would be the case but I have no idea at this point and I'm really bummed. Does anyone have any idea or input?

This is the exhaust kit I have, in the description it says it comes with a 70 series muffler which should be much more tame so I'm really let down.

So if anyone has any idea I'd really appreciate it.

Ive thought about this too. I had a super 44, but it really wasn't what I was expecting. (I do have a V6 though) But mine was almost the same as yours, quiet at idle and a little loud when on the gas. Just cause I was curious, I ran no muffler for awhile, and even that wasnt too loud. This leads me to believe that the catalytic converters are to blame for the quiet exhaust note. Im debating making interchangeable cats and test pipes on mine, to see if I can give some rumble to my truck. In the end I guess our trucks arent made to be loud

Not saying not but it will after awhile get real ricey ! I went with the super 70ii , its for big block suvs & sounds very healthy , but that's just me . Had all the 40s ,50s on my 3.4 taco & never good and had to put a cherry bomb on it to chill it out .
