I did it today. I'll post pics tomorrow. I ended up using the flowmaster but all they had was the dual out so I did just a about 140 degree turn down and it exits about only a few inches off the muffler. I ended up not doing the side exit because the spacing wasn't quite right so it exits just beside the front of the rear passenger tire so it looks like there is no exhaust.

The issue with a dual on a 4Runner is the HP gain you will see won't be enough to offset the weight you add from the exhaust and will end up being a looks mod when it's said and done. If you are supercharging then I could see it being worth the extra cost and weight.
This is the final exhaust. I've never posted pics before so hopefully it works. I have noticed better pickup and probably better mileage but I havn't gone through a tank yet and I'm comparing it to something that essentially had four holes in it so however you compare it its better.

Looks pretty hidden. How bout a picture of the whole side of the truck.?
I got a big tip on mine so it doesnt pop in the winter. I hate that. The guys around here will have straight pipes (No CATs no muffler) and they will have 3 inch tips. They go riding down the road and all you hear is "POP POP POP POP"

Yeah I've got a buddy with a ram the same way...its so loud it hurts to stand by it. I'll post a pic later. You can't see it at all. What's the popping noise? I think I might actually end up going with a straight pipe as well. My cat. is dead and is rattleing making it sound like the car is about to fall apart.
and the flow master set up was so cool.

That stinks. I love the way mine sounds and it doesn't drone at all, or at least that I can tell.
Once I turn my stereo past about seven I can't hear it at all unless I really gun it. I do have a couple of subs though.

If you are much over 21 years old the louder exhausts do get old so also consider what age group is giving you the advice on exhausts.
I had a loud fast car for over 8 years and it was great through my twenties but it did grow tiresome in stop and go traffic and attracted unwanted attention and it's hard to carry on a conversation with people on the highway so there are alot of negatives to overly loud exhausts vs the benefits which might only be a few more ponies in the mid-range.
I'm partial to the Magnaflow 24" on my friend's 2000 and it has a nice growl upon acceleration but doesn't got too noisy on the highway at cruise speeds.
I'd like to do a cat-back but at $300 installed it's a bit much when you don't see any real world benefits except sound and you get a cool tip. For me it'll be cheaper just to buy a nice tip. I can add sliders for that price and that will actually benefit me.

Yeah and see I love the noise its just the damn drone at 2000 rpm is giving me head aches but cest la vie.... I am doing most of this install myself tomorrow and I am only barely 18 so I think I'll just do the same short tips as not to spend to much time on it and its hidden and maybe do some sound proofing.
