Anyone every cut out their muffler and left the resonator? I thought about doing this to give the rig a deeper sound, but I don't want it to sound like a ricer or just sound like crap. Let me know fellas

NO...because it's illegal. And if you get caught...you can be fined up to $5000.
Not worth it.
It's not just a matter of cutting it out either...You'll have to trick the down-stream O2 sensors. There are ways to do this...but too expensive and too risky just for an Audio upgrade.

Just taking out the muffler will not get you in any trouble or less you get hit for loud exhaust.

Taking off the cats is a huge offense, taking off the muffler is not. It may violate sound ordinances but that's about it.

there are so many fine prints in state laws that modification to any of the vehicles exhaust even swapping mufflers is considered illegal. but thats not ever going to stop someone from doing it.
if your state doesnt have vehicle inspections i wouldnt worry about ever getting caught or fined unless you drive like a jack ass in a residential area and get pulled over for noise violation.

It isn't worth it and it is damn annoying. If you live in the boonies and have a total of 3 people within driving distance, go for it... otherwise you should look at other muffler options.
Magnaflow or some other aftermarket will give you a deeper sound and still not annoy the living **** out of everyone else.
