Exhaust Reroute?

I just got a rear basket for the T4R and on the basket itself it says 'do not install on vehicles with rear facing exhaust' or something close to that. Would it be easy to get a 90 degree piece and turn the exhaust to the side of the vehicle? Simple auto parts piece that can be put on with a pipe clamp?

Second picture. From rear. Basket is folded up. When down, it is right in the way of the exhaust. I would hate to cook a cooler or something when I go camping.

I often wondered about those rear basket. I saw a guy with his girl picking up a ton of gear on this moderate trail I was on. He had attempted to go up this slight incline and the basket folded when it hit the ground and his stuff fell out. I often wonder how functional these rear basket are especially when you take it off the pavement.

You will be able to find a right angle clamp, have muffler shop weld on a right angle, or you can cut off the resonator and do a dump straight down.

You can probably dump it straight down without cutting off the resonator. You got many options, should be an easy weekend mod.

on all 3 of my 4runners, I just cut it off just past where it drops down, never had an issue or smell.

Just take it to Midas or Meineke. Should be like 75 bucks to cut that tip off, weld on a 75 degree piece, and weld the original tip back on.
