Love your build. I subscribed, I own an '06 SR5 in silver and we have similar tastes with your wheels, and you've got some great info on here on how you did things (diff breather relocation to name one!)

Thanks...been a bit slow on the mods(no place to actually work on it where I'm currently living but moving soon). I have just been driving it and working.

Had to replace the lower half of the steering column that goes in the steering rack as the joint in the middle started to seize up and click when I turned and eventually made it really hard to turn. Had a shop do it though...no pics.

Let's see...

• Driver side wheel bearing went. Had to replace Hub (from Toyota) as well since it was rusted/seized on there.
  
• Replaced Passenger side wheel bearing.
  
• Alignment...again.

WARNING to any North East Toyota's...everything under you 4Runner is most likely rusted/seized.

If you are looking to buy one of these 4th gens. Check all the oem parts I listed here down to the bolt. You will most likely need to replace if you plan on lifting it or doing brakes. You can easily double what you paid for it in repairs.

Also just hit 150,000 Miles!

The driver side upper ball joint on the SPC/Light Racing Upper Control arm went.

Covered under warranty.

They replaced them with the new version for free. Had to pay $100 core charge but got it back.

When they did the ball joint on the upper control arms...finally noticed 2 years later I had the wrong type of lug nuts. Been using FJ TRD lugnuts which have the acorn bottom on the flat rims which ruined the rims when it sits.

Toyota replaced the 4 rims with brand new rims and the correct lugnuts as this was a mistake on their part 2 yrs ago when they sold it to me.

Mods / Issues since I have been gone...

Weather tech Window Visors

Back brake pad snapped in half? Seized piston? I dunno. Replaced with another set of Centric calipers and akebono pads.

Headlights looked like crap - got those black housing headlights.

Recently had a rattle in resonator. Replaced it Magnaflow Overland exhaust.
Also have a rusted header - just ordered parts from rockauto (new headers, Y pipe and 02 sensors).

In process of installing Dobinson Snorkel, will be finished in am.

Oh and some Jeep smashed my 1/4 panel with his door and made a lovely size dent a few weeks ago. His insurance gave me some $. Deciding if I'm going to get it popped out, try it myself (keep difference - since its no show truck. its got scratches now and all plastic trim is totally faded) or do I just let a bodyshop handle it and repaint it and if it costs more - they can request more $ for repairs from his insurance.

then a week or so later replaced the Ko2s (had 5 years and 50k miles)
