Expert advice needed on getting a TE in CA!!

I have been up and down the state of California looking for a 2010 Trail Edition. All the dealers have SR5s and Limiteds in stock, but no Trail Editions can be found. Even the Longo Dealership in Southern CA, which supposedly is the largest dealer in the country, has told me that can't get a TE for 4-6 months. How can this be? Several dealers throughout the rest of the country have them in stock. Any body have advice on getting a TE out here in CA. Why can't the dealers order one if they are obviosly already hitting the market? What are my options?

Are you trading in a car? If not,just see if you can go to another state that has one. I know Calif. is out there with some of it's laws so you should check with them.You can fly into Dallas and drive it home the next day....and I'll pick you up at the airport if you need a ride. That way it will be broke in by the time you get home. Big ol smile on your face the whole way!There are or were 4 of them around here last weekend, 1 silver,2 black and even a shoreline blue one.Some on Ebay too!I don't think there is a law stating you have to buy it in Calif. .......not yet anyways!

Wow Pat....That's a great price! They are not moving one dollar under MSRP on Trail Ed.'s around here. Matter of fact they want $1000 over for one of those black ones.They'll come down on SR5's and Limiteds but not Trail's.
Maybe that's why they are still there:shrug:
