Wow, $300, thats an awesome price. The lowest price I could find was $400 US. Did you order them over the internet or did you get them through a local supplier?

there was a $100 discount when i bought them just so you know, right now its only 20.

You had the fenders painted at a shop, or you did it yourself? I'm confused from your postings. I almost painted my grey fenders to match my gloss black truck the other day. It was hard to find the exact color.

Do you think it's as simple as sanding the fenders with high grit sandpaper and then doing 1-2 coats of primer, and 1-2 coats of paint? BTW, I was going to use duplicolor from Kragen...is that shady?

You use mostly existing holes but new hardware should be included but you do need to drill a few small holes on the rear doors to affix the bracket that hold the flare on the rear doors but it was overall an easy install on my '97.

Thanks, If you need to color match your fenders the color code is in your door jam I don't really now how you would repaint your limited fenders, because mine are plastic. They came in plain black and i just sent them to the shop. They painted them but I'm not sure about different layers of primer for limited. But what i do know is that on my fenders there is just the 1 layer of the color matched paint.

There is lots of drilling. In your front bumper, rear bumper, and rear doors. (None in the tail gate) I'm sure you can adhesive it but the bolts are more professional

My fenders are plastic too. They are scratched up pretty good, so I figured a nice sanding session would help smooth them out, and leave a good surface for the primer.

I found the color code on the door jam, but my local kragen didn't have the specific color in stock.

Those flares you added look AWESOME!! I've been back and forth on whether or not to add those to mine, they look just like factory. Great job on the install.

will work with running boards but

sseaman these will work with running boards but a new cap piece is needed as well. It does add significantly to the cost-gives you a good excuse to drop the boards and go to sliders.

I just got my flares-wow I am in awe of you guys that will do this kind of install on your own.

RonMaiden and 4runit you guys have some skills to be drilling into your own stuff.

It is beyond my capability. I want it to look nice and professional not half crooked and scratching my paint.

They come with bumper caps so not doing those should save me a little time and work-it's that rear door bracket piece that scares me.

I want mine to be removable again if I decide to paint them white. That would pretty much rule out mounting them with the double sided glue tape would it not?

A word of warning Autoparts warehouse lists the extend-a-fender for $118, but is has the incorrect description, the part number is just for the boot for factory running boards. I am in the process of getting them to honor the description listed.

Phew, glad I saw this post. I was gonna order those because I figured you can't beat that price but I'm glad you realized it was just for the boot.
