Extended rear links using off-the-shelf parts?

I have a one inch rear lift, my links are a little out of wack. Think these Moog links would help on the smaller lifts?

I am thinking they would, it went up an inch so a inch drop would put the swaybar back to stock.

Any thoughts on this?

These inks would probably work, but it will place the ends of the sway bar lower than OEM in your situation, and closer to the trailing arms. The reason being the sway bar is connected to the axle, yet the ends of the sway bar where the links attach are closer to the pivot point of the axle, which is the trailing arms attachment point at the frame. This means the ends of the sway bar will be lower by about half the distance as the axle, or lift. So if you have a 1” lift the sway bar ends will be only about 1/2” lower. These links are 1” longer, so the sway bar ends would be about 1” lower than factory, not 1/2” to keep approximate OEM location of the sway bar ends. I would say these links would not offer any benefit in your case. Probably consider keeping the OEM links. But if you really want to change them, adjustable one’s for only 1/2” more length. These links are better suited for lifts of around 2” in my opinion.

I'm glad my post helped you, but that tells me the concerns about these links being too long for a 1.5" lift are valid. I'll keep looking. My understanding is the 3rd-gen rear links are somewhere between the lengths of 2nd and 4/5th gen, but for the life of me I can't find that length published anywhere.

[Edit]I looked when I got home, and estimate that 0.5" - 0.75" longer would be perfect.

I see that [MENTION=153213]2016 4Runner SR5[/MENTION] ordered the longer ones for a 1.5" lift. Please keep us posted!

As for front links, those actually should be made shorter on the 5th gen. With a front lift the main bar stays attached to the frame while the knuckle with the link is pushed down. This tilts the sway bar ends and links closer to the coils. The knuckle doesn't move as far down as the wheel because of the IFS geometry, so the standard solution up front is to install swaybar relocation brackets. This lowers the bar and swings the links back out to the stock position such that the OEM length fits.

I haven't forgot you guys, Amazon just sucks as usual. Don't know about you guys but I've about had it with Amazon. They are really no cheaper than ebay and they are slow as all hell. Links were ordered on the 13th, ETA for delivery is the 25th. They don't even show as shipped yet!

Well since Amazon FINALLY delivered my links after a 12 day wait, I got them installed. Here's what they look like with a 1.5" lift. Please ignore the filth. It usually doesn't look anything like this but with the cold weather here It's too cold to wash anything. Can't wait to get it up on 4 jack stands, pull the wheels and tires off, and clean it top to bottom.

On a side note, anyone else notice these Moog links are made in Japan?

So who else has noticed these links are rusted to hell in no time at all? Looks like they've been under there for years even though it's only been a few weeks. WTF Moog? I will be removing them, sanding them, painting them, and reinstalling them. For anyone buying these new, I highly suggest you clean them up, prime and paint them before install.
