Extended Rear Sway Bar links?

So now that I've got my lift on the sway bar links are too short in the rear. I was browsing and saw that someone had put longer links from another Toyota, maybe a Tacoma. Of course I can't find that thread now so I was hoping someone here knew what I could buy for longer sway bar links. I don't want to ditch the sway bar as I drive mostly on the street and my wife will drive it from time to time when I am working on her Mazda.

OK after searching for the last hour I found another post that said 1995 4 Runner rear links are an inch longer. O-reilly was the only place I could find them at 24 bucks each. I will be ordering them next week and will let you guys know how it works out.

I agree for the sticky. After doing my lift about a year ago I noticed the same thing. But it took me half a day of searching. Now I have replied to about three-four threads where ppl are asking about this... fortunately I was wheeling yesterday, and working out this morning before I read your post... good going for at least doing the research... most dont.

I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in here. I snapped my right rear sway bar link, so i ordered a MOOG replacement. Anyone wo has used them can attest to the fact that they over build. Well the link they sent me has to be about 1.5 to 2" longer than the factory. Fits stock height, now i only have to buy one when i lift!

I put my fronts on the rear... good to know about the moog being longer

The 3rd gen fronts are 1" longer that the stock rears.
One inch longer is the perfect length. Any longer and the swaybar/link end will hit the lower control arm when stuffing that wheel.
Too short and it limits droop.

I used the 95 4Runner rear links too and they are 2" longer than the 3rd gens.

Bought a set of Moog's from Oreilly. 24 bucks each and they had them the next morning with no shipping charges.

1995 4 Runner V6 4x4 - Rear Sway Bar Links is what I told them I needed. They come with new bushings and nuts.

and the 95's front for the front of a 00 with lift?

Look up the user trailmix. He had a great thread about how to lengthen them using aftermarket links.
