extended travel?

is anyone running a longer travel set up from Radflo?

i dont want to get into a pre-runner set up im just looking for longer travel or more flex. Will an extended travel set up give me more than 3" of lift?= do not want. im not sure what questions i need to ask to get the answers i need. i guess im just looking for input or experience or maybe the confidence to know what im talking about when i go ahead and buy.

i have an 03' 4runner and will be doing alot of colorado trails (blackbear, imogene, and similar) rocky, bumpy, very uneven but not necessarily rock crawling. any experience would be great. thanks.

i have done quite an extensive search and i know that radflo does offer extended travel i just wasnt finding much detailed info that would help me decide if it extended travel was right for me.

so i guess ill just get the basic and see how it goes.

This info is all about the front suspension.

As far as I know, Radflo sells rebuildable/tunable adjustable coilover shocks. There are companies, like Total Chaos Total Chaos 2005-09 Toyota Tacoma/4Runner/FJ Long Travel Suspension System , that sell long travel. This is accomplished by longer control arms (that push the wheels out further). These longer control arms allow for more travel. LT is great for high speed desert racing style. I know that the Radflo are rebuildable/tunable but unless you need to, this does raise the cost.

If you want to stay with a stock width/look, you either need softer/longer coils that will compress easier. I'm getting about 9" of travel on my front setup. I'm running Bilstein shocks with the ToyTec adjustable coilover kit (600# Eibach coils). These coils are longer than stock so they compress more. I know that the guys (Jeff) at ToyTec have run the 650#, 600#, 550# 500# and 500# long coils on their coilovers. The softer the coil, the more lean when driving. Give them a call.

I think the key to wheeling an IFS rig is, get used to/comfortable with lifting front wheels.
