Acton no longer cuts deals on warranties. They did match a quote I got online for my Avalon, but I got an even better deal from a guy in western ma for my wife's Venza. I'll be hitting him up for a quote soon. I'm sending in paperwork to tfs to get a refund from my Avalon warranty. Looking at $640 back supposedly, after 3 yrs/54k miles. Bought 6yr/125k I believe.

I was quoted $2555.00 for 8 years and 125,000 miles. Big difference.

This guy saved around 40%.

I gain nothing for passing on this info and I definitely don't work for Toyota. But like some have said Extended Warranties are great for some and maybe not for others.

To each their own I say. Want one, great, if not that's okay too.

Hi which dealer was this? Also, Last I heard you could not buy warranties out of state unless you go to the dealer in person... Is that still the case? I am actively looking for the 8yr 125k plat warranty in Maryland and so far I have been quoted 2400...

Best I've been able to get locally in NJ ($0 deductible, Toyota Care Platinum warranty) is:

6 yr 75k $825
7 yr 75k $895
8 yr 100k $1325 - this is the one I want, but I would prefer to pay the prices you quoted!

I drive a '14 T4R with 24k miles, so I have a bit of time left. I had a toyota warranty for my 07 FJ Cruiser, which paid for itself with one engine repair when the car was 5 years old. When I sold the car, Toyota mailed me a check with the prorated amount I had left on the warranty.

If you are buying a warranty, it makes ZERO sense not to buy the longest term one you can.
