You must buy before your factory warranty expires. But if you buy today or 2 years from now it still goes back to date of vehicle delivery. But as many members have found out, sometimes these great deals dry up.

Hi Gamester, I just picked up a TRD offroad, could you please send me your contact for the extended warranty?
 
I bought my truck through a AAA broker. He said never buy the dealers extended warranty, as it does not cover quite a lot. Instead, spend $1,500 for the AAA warranty, which covers much more. After two years, when it kicks in and the standard dealer warranty has expired, you can use it for almost anything. You pay a $100 deductible every time it is serviced, that's it. So my broker said wait till there are a few things that need done that could cost up to a few thousand, and only pay $100. It lasts for eight years.

Although now that I have a 4Runner, I may no longer need AAA. But they have been good to me, so I guess Ill keep my membership going.

Was this AAA broker you bought the car though also going to be selling you the AAA warranty? I have bought several warranties through dealers (backed by the manufacturer) over the years and so far Toyota has been the one to cover the most. $1500 for coverage that requires a $100 deductible is higher than most guys on here are picking up the 8 year Platinum Toyota coverage with a $0 deductible.
 
@gamestar5 could you please send me a PM? Also I'm sure this is a stupid question but does this only cover factory parts or would it cover aftermarket upgrades.
