Extended warranty question. I just bought a TRD Off road They offered me an E.W. 10years/100,000 miles for 2K. I think too pricey, agree?
So I read a lot of the posts here, can I buy the same EW as Toyota offers at anytime? Appreciate you advice, Thanks

Hi, I just PM'ed you the contact and pricing.
I was quoted $1700 for 75k miles and 6 years "Platinum Warranty" on a new 2017 TRD OR, along with wheel and tire protection (additional $450)?! Umm, no thanks.
Can you pm me with info too my warranty is about to expire.. thanks

Sure major mechanical I think that holds true. For example my 2013 backup camera just went out, $730 covered. Granted I still paid $500 more than that for the warranty. Plenty of stupid things that can break, mostly electrical, i.e. Power seats, windows, door locks, ect.

Yes, that's much too high. that warranty can be purchased for MUCH less.

That's what I thought. I think I paid less than $1900 for my wife's 2016 TEP for a 100k mile Platinum?
I was going to keep it forever, then I decided to change out the suspension for the TRD Pro (never again) and my wife hated the way it drove.
Happy wife = happy life, so I traded it in for an ML400 (huge mistake), and now back into the 17 TRD OR.

You can always cancel plans you have an purchase cheaper elsewhere.
That's a valid point, the only problem I could think of is that you get a prorated portion of the EW returned upon cancelling even if the vehicle is still under the original manufactures warranty.
I guess the question I found myself asking upon buying the new 2017 TRD OR is this, should I wait until just prior to the expiration of the new car warranty and then purchase an EW or is more financially advantageous to purchase when new?

Does not matter if they are purchased from day one or just before the factory warranty expires, the coverage and price are the same. The problem is, and some on here have found out the hard way, is these "deals" can dry up on a moments notice.
My first contact I had used for a few years DOUBLED the price over night over a year ago. I had to search high and low to find a dealer that could come close. My current source is close to the first contacts prices but these deals can go away at any time. This is why people are purchasing sooner rather than later.
Keep in mind I make NOTHING off this information I provide forum members and the warranties are NOT sold by me, I just pass on contact information and pricing so members can make their own decision to buy or not.
