Extended Warranty? 2015 4Runner limited

The problem with that warranty is it was after the factory warranty so the vehicle isn't eligible for the Toyota FSA that my contact can quote. I bet they gouge people a bit more when they know they have less options for EX warranties. I would cancel ASAP.

Just looking at getting a 2018 trd pro? Will the $3000 Canadian ECP Toyota platinum warranty be necessary? I think itll cover me up to the 7 yr mark but if u read the fine print there is a lot of stuff not covered. For example I don't think any Toyota has engine warranty after 3 yrs. Yes the electronics r expensive but im not sure what to do. $3000 also tacked onto the loan over 5 yrs makes the payment like $50 a month more roughly. Not sure if a person should just pocket that extra savings and use it if something does happen? I think they do give one free oil change a year with it not sure what the actual cost of a 4runner service will be??
 
Repair covered by extended warranty

I never buy extended warranties for anything. I purchased the discounted Platinum extended warranty offered here because price point and coverage made sense. I use my 4Runner extensively for my job.

Yesterday with 70k my 4R needed Tensioner assembly, pulley sub assy, hardware and belt replaced. All covered under warranty except price of belt with no deductible. Dealer also provided loaner at no cost. Price of repair almost covered cost of warranty.

FYI if you are on the fence.
