I do think these Toyota Platinum warranties need to be purchased in the 3 year / 36,000 mile factory warranty window.

I used it once when I owned my 2007 FJ Cruiser. When the FJC was 6 years old, it developed an engine oil leak. One of the seals was shot and it needed replacing. The dealer (or should I say stealer) called me to tell me it wold costd $1000 (more or less, can't really remember the exact amount). I told him I had the platinum warranty, and he put me on hold for 5 minutes and came back to say it was covered and they would do it with $0 out of pocket cost for me.
1 year later sold the truck, it still had 1 year left on the 8 yr warranty. Toyota refunded me the pro-rated unused amount.
This thing paid for itself and then some in that one service call.
A couple of months ago I bought one for my T4R using Gamester's contact. That guy was the best price I have been able to find in the 2 years I've been looking since I bought my T4R.

May be interested as well for the electronics, not so worried about the engine/1 yr birthday coming up and love it except for tabs in MN as it is 402 - note to self, I need to uproot the family and move to another state

Chief, you are correct, I should get something out of the deal. I have sent dozens of people to Eddie, I am sure he is making a killing. But as long as I am saving T4R members money I am all good.
