FYI -- I recently received my official paperwork from Toyota for the extended warranty. It took about 3 weeks to get to me from my purchase date, just like gamester5's contact said it would. The paperwork is legit (I even called the number at Toyota to double-check!) and the price was fantastic for the Platinum contract.
Total no-brainer at the price paid. One single visit and it will pay for itself. Two visits, and I'll be way ahead. Zero visits, and I'll still think it was worth the peace of mind. I had no intention of getting one of these extended warranties when I bought the truck. After all, this is a 4Runner! But to be frank, at this price, it just made so much sense...
I want to thank gamester5 again -- his contact definitely saved me money! Please contact gamester5 for the info. He's the man. He should get big kudos for helping folks out, and I owe him a drink! May I humbly suggest that we continue to keep public details off the thread and limited to PMs only (as gamester5 has been wisely doing) so we can retain this resource for the community as long as possible. Who knows when Toyota might lock this guy down, and we'll lose this deal. I'll just say I saved around 50% compared to what the local dealer quoted. YMMV.
