Extended Warranty

Cost would be the same and coverage mileage and time frame would be the same if purchased now or before 36,000 miles or 3 years from date it drove off the lot. The paperwork shows what is covered and that can be obtained from the source. Platinum is the top level and has no deductible.

Thing is, these deals can dry up at a moments notice. My first source I had about 5 years ago DOUBLED the price over night, so I had to find a new source.

Sounds like you don't put too many miles on vehicles so I would go with longer term vs more miles.

You didn’t ask me, but I wanted to share my experience.

Toyota Extra Care Platinum warranty is $3900 (my dealer knocked off $850 to $3050). On Toyota’s website, it appears to be able to be added to both new and used: https://www.sc.toyotafinancial.com/web/tfs/pub/contents/vsa/TFS_VSA_Platinum_VSA_eBrochure.pdf

An alternative to Extra Care is to simply ask the dealer to “CPO” the vehicle. Doing this comes with its own warranty: Certified Used Toyota Vehicles | Pre-Owned Cars, Trucks, SUVs & Hybrids

As long as you are below the manufactures factory warranty of 36,000 or 3 years you can get these deals.
