Extended wheel studs advisable with Spidertrax?

This doesn't look ideal to me:

I couldn't determine from my search if the "newer" nuts sold with Spidertrax wheel spacers address this issue or if extended wheel studs are advised.

I found that picture in the "spidertrax install makes me nervous" thread. I havent actually purchased hem yet but want to see if I need to order extended studs at the same time.

If you buy the correct ones the lug wells will be deep enough to properly thread the nuts.

I remember that thread. I believe this issue has been resolved and the community concluded that it was safe. Also that picture might not be accurate.

Post a real picture of when you actually install them.

You need ET lug nuts. they sell a style lug nuts like "acorn" style lug nuts. those will help you get more threads on the wheel studs.

No need to extend.. ill get you a photo/link

only reason i know this is because i had all pro wheel spacers before. which i am assuming will be the same as spidertrax. not sure if spidertrax sells specifically their own ET lugs but here is a picture.

Yes, It is from a 1999 Limited 4Runner with a 4.7L V8 motor.

Paddle, mine look just like Singtoe's. Flush. I have 1.5" Spiders on my 97. When I bought mine from 4WheelParts, I told them what rig I was buying them for and they told me what I needed to buy. The nuts they told me I needed worked perfectly and I've had 0 issues. If you order from Spidertrax, I'm confident you'll get exactly what you need. Don't forget the locktite.

Why would you try to use All Pro nuts with SpiderTrax spacers? The spidertrax ship with new nuts. Just use the ones they provide. Case closed.

That recommendation came from those who installed spidertrax and only had 2-3 threads engaging on the spidertrax nuts. It's the reason I posted, there seems to be a lack of information about the subject.

Man, sorry I haven't kept up with this thread...missed this one. Blue is what I used FWIW.

i just bought me a set of G2 1.25 spacers, and they include the red locktite in their kit. and i had plenty of bite with the lugs they provided. the factory studs are long enough that they stick out about a 1/8" past the lug nut.
