Fabricating inner fender skirts?

The inner fender skirts on my 4runner are missing/broken on both sides. You know, the ones that separate the front fender well from the engine bay. After searching, I'm not interested in paying upwards of $30/each for all four of them. Anybody have any good ideas on what material I should use to fabricate my own? Also, if you could post pictures of what they should look like when in tact it would be greatly appreciated.

I used a Rubbermaid trash can from walmart. The black square/rectangle ones. Cut a cardboard template then cut up the trash can.

I used pond liner that I had, the OEM ones were crumbling, so I took them off when I did my UCA install, then traced them onto pond liner and cute them out.

Pretty much any rubber sheeting material will do, the factory stuff I think is barely a millimeter or two thick anyways.

I need to replace mine as well... Should I be concerned about the material used given the exhaust manifolds nearby? Or is that of no concern?

Man I'm game for it. I'm a baseball coach and as soon as ball season is over I'll have some free time to start doing these mods.

My liners are completely gone and have been since I bought the truck. Is there anyone in north east Florida I could meet up with and use there's for a templet? Or would anyone on ere be willing to make some for me and ship them? Or does anyone have an idea how to make some without a templet that don't look like complete poo?

I'm making up templates tomorrow on some card stock sheets. I can make a second set and probably send you a set of templates.

According to Toyota Parts Zone, they're the same part number for FJ & 4Runner.

edit- sorry, just for the front guards are the same

here's a photo of the 4runner rear guard, I'd guess that the FJ ones would probably work well enough for a template.
