Factory 4runner navigation fits SR5?

I have the 2006 SR5. I wanted the factory Navigation but could not afford the limited edition. Fortunately, my brother-in-law works for Toyota and he can get any parts at employee discount. My question is, if I buy the Toyota 4runner factory navation unit:

1. Will it work?
2. Is it plug compatible with the SR5 harness?
3. If not, where do I buy the right installation kit.

It should simply be plug and play for everything. You would just have to ground the parking and tap in the speed sensor wire. There should be ample information on this forum to help you find the right color wires.

according to my brother-in-law employee discount = dealer pricing. So it is basically what a dealer can get the unit for. I believe he told me $1695 without the camera.

For that price I would go with Eclipse AVN6600, much better still get OEM look but you just don't get bluetooth and orange led.

You get an awesome unit that does have bluetooth & the righ colored LEDs and an AUX input as well.

I wish I could find a new OEM unit at that price...
