Hopefully a quick answer, I have a lead on a factory navi unit for super cheap but its from a 2005 sequoia. Would it fit my 2005 4Runner? They both are jbl. Also sorry if a noob question, hard to use search on a broke ass iPhone.

i know some jbl units are a 2 part system and the head unit alone will be of no use. do some research based off model number

get the e700X number from it. Then search for "cookieroe"s post on the difference between the OEM NAVs. There is a 4th and a 5th gen NAV (has nothing to do with the gen of 4runner).

IIRC, the e7007,8,9 are the ones you want. the e7008 has the amber lights that match up to the OEM toyota lights. i did swap the LEDs in cookieroe's e7009 unit to match the OEM color, so that can be done.

having been looking into OEM navs myself, you are probably looking at a e7006 unit, which is a 4th gen NAV unit if i understand it correctly.

Thanks all! Cookie your thread answered it perfectly. It looks like just the head unit module is all I would need. 400$ seem like a steal?

Depends which model you are going for. Realize some of the NAVs are over 10 years old (no BT, no SAT, etc etc). $400 doesn't sound bad even if it's a "bare-bones" E7XXX.
