Factory radio question

Ok guys , I took out my pioneer radio to put the factory radio back in my 02 4runner. Because I threw out the radio that came with my truck , I bought a used factory radio off eBay . When I went to install, only one of the harnesses in dash fit into the back of the radio. My pioneer had a harness split from two plugs in the dash. Neither one of those fit into the other area on back of radio. The radio is from a 2001. Was there a difference from year to year. Thanks

The connections depend on whether your truck or the truck that the radio came from came with a factory amplifier. If your truck does have a factory amp, try taking it out. The connections that go to the amp may line up with the radio you have.

Take pictures of the harnesses and the back of your factory radio. The factory amp was pretty standard for the SR5. Its silver aluminum and mounted to the truck beside the air bag thing under the stereo.

I thank u sir. Turns out my factory amp was bypassed and not plugged in. Works fine now.
