Fading Paint Repair

I know Toyotas of this era are notorious for bad paint. Most people I know with a mid 2000's Toyota all have some signs of clear coat fade.
So my question is this: what can I do to repair the few faded spots I have now, and what else can I do to keep other areas from developing rough patches too? And if the faded clear coat areas aren't repairable, have any of you had bad spots resprayed?

I'm curious to this as well. My 4r has a spot on the rear passenger side fender that has some sun damage. From what I've read, claybar-ing and polishing and waxing is about the only way to maintain or "fix" the issue without a repaint, but I'd like to hear some answers too!

Waxing every 4-6 months will help any further damage. It depends on the extent of the damage if it can be repaired with out being recleared or not. If it's peeling it's going to have to be resprayed

Is the clear coat broken? If not and it's just faded, there is hope. You are going to need a dual action orbital buffer. There are so many ways to attack this. I would check AutoGreek. They have tons of product to help you. Don't want to do it yourself? Hire a detailer.

I'll take a few pics today to see what you guys think. The clear coat isn't necessarily peeling, that is to say I can't pull flakes of it off. but its definitely rough. Clay bar and wax are things I had in mind already with how much I commute, but I think I'll probably take it to get detailed first so I can just work on keeping it polished and waxed rather than go at the last 11 years of scratches and fades.
On that note, do you guys have any products you'd recommend to polish and wax? I waxed my old Subarus a few times, but usually with just whatever was in my dad's garage. I've seen Adam's Polishes advertised a bit and it seems like they sell a decent product but its hard to say without having seen any of their stuff in person.
