I have owned four 4Runners and 2 FJs over the years. My son is carrying on the tradition by recently purchasing this new TRD Pro. He has already had 3 mods completed: 285/70 K02s, Bilstein UCAs and 8112s at all 4 corners and a Safari Armax snorkel. He is waiting until he has a thousand miles on the suspension before having it readjusted. It’s a little tall in the front but was set per Bilstein’s recommendation. He is loving his 4Runner….just like ol’ Dad did.

He really wanted an Army Green pre owned but none were available….but 2 weeks after his purchase his dealer took in a 2020 Army Green Pro that was an early lease turn in. They were asking original MSRP for it with 31k miles….yet had sold my son his new one for MSRP. Go figure. Army green is a great color but I’d take a new black over a 2 year old army green for the same money. These dealers are crazy.
Do you mean the inner fender liners? I noticed that… and will say something to him. The shop that installed everything does this kind of work all the time and I am thinking the shock reservoir placement required the removal of the fender liners but perhaps they can be reinstalled with some trimming or shaping. They had to remove the small front splash guards and do a slight amount of bumper trimming because the 285s were rubbing slightly.

I’ve had this problem with Bilstein in recommending the wrong coils after adding a custom bumper. Mine front end sat to high too. I had a 700 lb coil and dropped it to 650 lbs. Thats solved the problem.
From what I can see, the front end looks normal. I don’t see any added weight.
First check where the bottom coils supports are on the shock. Bilsteins are adjustable. If they are all the way up you might get away with just lowering them. If they are already near the bottom then you need to replace the spring. I would recommend you put the original coils back in. If you want a Bilstein, then go down another 50 lbs. I think 600 lb is what the stock coils are rated at. If he rather have it lifted then bump the rear up by 50lbs

They are adjusted all the way up. He is going to have them lower them on the 17th if it doesn’t drop after the “settling in” period. The front is measuring 1 1/2” higher than the rear when measuring from the ground to the top of the wheel well. Btw, he has thought about a bumper and winch later on so I don’t think he wants to do a spring swap.

I think you should have enough room to level it out then. On mine I have the passenger side all the way to the bottom, on the driver side I have it up 4 slots to compensate with the weight imbalance on the 4Runner. You can probably get away with just going up 3 slots.
If your son upgrades to a bumper and winch that weighs less than a 100 lbs then I think you can get away with just raising the coils. My bumper weighs in about 140 lbs with winch and I had to get a 650 lb coil.
If your son is planning to add the bumper in the next few month I would leave it as is. After you add the new bumper then make your adjustment. But if it’s going to be much longer then I would adjust it as planned. I think it took about 2 or 3 months for my coils to break in.

Looks like he is talking about the splash guards that block off the wheel well and the engine compartment. They can be reinstalled with just poking a few holes where the resi clamps mount. I believe Bilstein's instructions show where exactly.
Hope your son has a blast with the 8112/8100s. I have the 8112s up front in my own, a little soft to my liking so I might bump up to an 650 lb spring but other then that they have performed great!
