Fan pulley/bracket replacement?

I'm posting this for [MENTION=92510]Ol'Blue[/MENTION]. His fan pulley has a noticeable wobble and squealing noise, and we're trying to figure out just what exactly needs to be replaced. Looking on a Toyota parts website, it looks like there's both an inner and an outer pulley? And the bearing is in the bracket, correct?

We were hoping that only a pulley would need to be replaced, but it sounds like maybe the whole bracket needs to be replaced? Who's had this happen to them before?

i want one but havent had the need just yet

although it sounds like a bad bearing... do the belts slip over the pulley, does the pulley turn or is it frozen? maybe a video might better help us. i have had bad bearings in a pulley and it would wobble back and forth and make a awful noise but once it got warm it froze up and that was it.

That e-fan will have to be something for him to think about. This is quickly getting to be more expensive than we first expected. We thought we could get away with just replacing the pulley, then we found out that none of the parts stores like Autozone or O'Reilly's even carry the pulley, then found out there's an inner and outer pulley, then come to find out the bearing would be in the bracket which is even more expensive than both the pulleys, and well, you get the picture haha.

Loosen the tension until you can get all three drive belts over the fan. Remove the fan and fan clutch as one. Inspect both the inner and outer fan pulleys such as the hole diameter for possible culprits of looseness. Spin the fan bracket. Three bolts gets it off. It may be a good time to check the water pump for leakage as well as possibly think about a new fan clutch. And watch out for spiders. I saw some baby spiders sacs under a neighbor's car while changing their radiator on Labor Day.

I think I have a fan clutch here. I think the bearing is NSK. If I can see the bearing number, I will post it.

Im having the same problem

I recently replaced my fan clutch, a month later the coolant belt pully (bearings) bracket broke, I replaced it and 1 week later, my fan is wobbling out control only to realize that the coolant belt pully has a lot of play in it. What is causing these bearing to go out? Please help!

4 years too late but maybe the belt tension is too much, causing pulley and components to fail prematurely?
