Farewell and a Big Thanks to Everyone!

Hey guys,

After a couple months of self debate whether to or not to, I sold my 2006 T4R SE for $17,700 with 85k miles to a private party, tomorrow it's getting shipped to Russia believe it or not! I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone on these boards for being so helpful to me these past years, you guys really improved my knowledge of these vehicles while displaying the heart, quality, and respect each and every one of you puts into your own vehicle, I thank you for that. The future for me is a 2008 Audi A5 3.2 6 cyl, which I bought last week from across the country. It will be here in the next couple of days.

So, farewell from California, I hope you guys have fun out there!

Not to worry you... But I'd be weery, and worried. That truck wouldn't move out of my garage until I was sure everything was legit. Too many scams, and too many ways to commit fraud. Those fawkers will get you everytime when you let your guard down!

Nice Audi. Like everyone else is saying make sure the check clears the bank and everything is legit before you ship the car. I don't think a few extra days waiting is going to hurt the buyer, but you have to take these measures to protect yourself from a scam.

The check has been cleared, and I didn't release the car until it did. A person did not issue a cashiers check to me from Russia, sorry for making that unclear. A middle man who scopes out vehicles in the states buys them for people who contact him from Russia (he said our cars are worth a lot more over there), then he ships the vehicle over. I was issued the cashiers check from a resident of the U.S., printed out at Chase, with me present at the teller.

Glad it all worked out.

Sad to see it go but Audis are pretty fun. I drove an old RS6 twin turbo and had a blast. enjoy the 5 its a good looking car.
