Fathers Day Run - Big Bear Saturday 6/10

Damnit I would love to but have family plans this weekend. Rema would not be happy to see a note when she got home that I went to Big Bear to have fun.

I would love to be there to use my new Mavic Pro and get some awesome aerial shots of the run.

Have fun, I hope to get my 4Runner in the dirt soon.
 
Yep still haven't even tore into the beast to start repairs. Had to work some overtime and save some money. I'll be getting to it today....
But too little too late to make it for this run.
I'll probably be up there for Father's Day next weekend

Gotta get it right bruh, you're tagging someone else! I need tires and rear shocks before I hit the trail again. Everything seems to happen at once. Have fun and be safe. Hopefully I can make a trail run soon.

Btw.... can I ask where the map in your original post is from? I'd love to get a look at them and start planning my own runs.

I guess it's a good thing I didn't go. Went grocery shopping and when we got home the water main to the house had broken and was gushing down the street.

I put a nice ball valve in the system a few years ago so it's easy to shut off. As I was working on it the water district guy stopped buy. He said when I already knew, since it was after the meter it was my responsibility. He did leave me with schedule 80 parts to fix it at least. Now waiting for the PVC cement to fully dry.

OK somebody post pics of the run.
 
Was a good run. Really looking forward to seeing the footage of my wife going up (and down) pontiac sluice.

Also, one of my doors is inoperable because of a bent slider, but all good otherwise.

I'll go through my 4runner tomorrow and see if I can find that red d-ring. Still not sure where that could have ended up.

How the hell did you bend a slider? Bolt on?

Bolt on slider (BudBuilt). The kickout is about an inch higher than it used to be. Miah suggested (and I think he's right) that a breaker bar/propane torch should enable me to get it back down. I'll try that later this week.

As to the how? Probably one of times it was landed on on the sluice. Once we get the video we might figure out when.

Ah. My rci sliders like ride up because of they way they mount, but a few jumps and they settle back down.

This one's my favorite, saved Miah from the edge of Oblivion on the way down. Made it to the monument at the top to pay respect to a fallen warrior.
