For weapons lights:

anything made by surefire.

For headlamps: whatever is on sale at REI. that takes AAA. I have a few that does white light and red light. Don't remember the brand.

Streamlight microstream with a 10440 3.7v battery.

Probably overloading the LED diode but, at $20 for the light, its not that big of a deal to me.

Hybrid lights have always been a favorite of mine. I own about 20. (Yes, I know, I have issues, the wife reminds me everyday!

I love my Streamlight headlamp because of the green light for going in and out of the woods.

For a super bright light, I prefer my Zebralight H600 with the 18650 rechargeable batteries.

Skysted WF-502b ......Amazon for $14. Blindingly bright and use two cr123 that I get for free at work. Simple clicker at the butt end and just on and off.....don't want or need strobe etc in a work belt flashlight. I ''collect'' flashlights and have some high-end stuff but these are the cheap and reliable workhorse units that get used and abused!:nod:

Hatori 18650

They are cheap, very bright for the size. I have about 6 of them now around the house and in each vehicle. I keep them in the center console and have never had battery problems hot or cold.

I do not use the supplied chargers. I have a good Intellicharger.

Not exactly a flash light but I use a Fenix HP25R on my hard hat for work and so far it has survived 2 years of physical abuse and bad weather. I don't use the spot light too often but the flood light has a super wide angle and doesn't have any dark or light spots which makes it great for electrical work when I'm in the basement of some god forsaken water treatment plant.

I’ve got three of their flashlites, two water proof underwater lights: GoBe Spot, and GoBe Red Spot.

And a bicycle light: Taz1500. This light is incredible, it’s as bright as a motorcycle headlight. I sometimes carry it as a hand held light.

Their products are pricey but such high quality and a two year warranty.

Long term they are great little flashlights that pack a pretty good punch. All of the ones I have purchased still work.

For a little more I purchased a slightly larger one that uses a 26650 battery last December. It is my nightly go to for around the house. BOSTACTM BTZ-50R

It's a lot brighter.

Had them for years and they are constantly innovating while not pushing their price point to the moon like surefire.
Lights range from moonlight to 25K lumen monsters.
Flood and long throw options and of course-strobe.

I've a couple of Olights and I have exactly two issues with them:

1. Terrible cool-white LEDs they use while not giving consumers a choice. They are way too blue for my tase.

2. The non-sale prices are mostly show-stoppers.

I do respect their quality, however. There's nothing to fault there.

For me, the best bang for the buck on the market now is Emisar. Tons of LED choices, great body options and killer prices. Downside is waiting a month or two to ship from China.

I am a big Surefire fan, but have recently been trying Streamlight.

My first was a Surefire E2L Outdoorsman with high and low settings. A bit expensive at almost $200 but its been a solid flashlight for the passed 10+ years. Its not the brightest but extremely useful and durable. Perfect for camping.

Then i got the G2X with high and low. Its a really good bright cheap Surefire that i use in my car.

I recently got a Streamlight 88061 ProTac that is pretty sweet as a EDC since it can use 1 AAA or 1 CR123 plus it has high output, low and strobe. Its super bright.

I also recently got Streamlight Siege X USB Lantern/flashlight. Its a great little lantern that can use CR123 but is also rechargeable. Multiple brightness settings and also a Red mod wich it great.

I have both Streamlight Strion and Stinger. They have served me well.
