Favorite Pads for Tundra Swap

I'm interested in hearing which pads people used and recommend and which ones to avoid. My goal will be stopping power first, pad life second and reduced brake dust third.
I know a lot of people run Napa and Toyota's. What else?

I tow a 19.5 boat that weighs about 3500lbs. The stock 4Runner brakes are not quite enough to feel safe on quick stops.

You can also check out Performance Friction and Akebono pads. I've run the former and liked them, with minimal brake dusting.

But being one who is currently running 231mm calipers, I just used the OEM/Sumitomo pads. They have helped me stop a 4400lb 21ft boat just fine. If you want to invest $$$, then look into getting the OEM rotors. BFAD's thread if you can find it show the difference in rotor quality of OEM vs. most anything else. My Brembos work fine for me though.

While doing the upgrade, check the condition of the brake lines and do a good all around brake flush.

Post some pics when finished (I still love that Stellar Blue Pearl color).

I can second the Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads.
Threw them on mine when I did the Tundra upgrade, and have been working great ever since (very minimal amount of brake dust too).

The OEM Tundra pads are pretty good, I like them a lot anyways....

If I did it again though, I would go with EBC or Hawk performance pads. I ran EBC "Greenstuff" pads on my last Toyota and the difference between stock and those, was substantial.... actually, they were amazing! haha

Thanks for the help and the tip on the brake lines. I plan to go with OEM rotors since the price isn't too much more. It's a small price to pay even if it doesn't affect the performance. I'm excited because I keep hearing what a difference it makes and how people think it's one of the best mods for the rig. I'll post pictures.

I'm just about ready to part with my first set of Greenstuff 6000 series pads on my 231 calipers... they're pretty low.

I honestly think that they have sucked so far, I was gonna go OEM next time around... what differences did you notice?
