It helps a lot to see actual $ figures associated with different options.

In the majority of my reading on this forum, there are a ton of different options thrown around for everything you could possibly ask for. However it's rare to see specific costs being discussed with it.

Doing to look into OME and Dobinson today.

what is the least expensive linear/progressive setup?

Not sure what the absolute cheapest option is - but here's a pretty low cost option for a linear rate IFP setup:

Fox 2.0 front/rear $1,100 plus some rear springs of your choice $200. https://www.amazon.com/Fox-Performance-Coil-Over-Shocks-4Runner/dp/B01JBLPJ6I Total for parts would be $1300. I just used Amazon because it's easy, but you can probably find them cheaper other places. Installation is super easy since they're already assembled. Front is adjustable height. Keep the front to 2" of lift and you probably don't need UCAs.

i also have the 6112/5160 combo and was out of 4wheelparts for $1020. mind you i did the install myself, but i love the ride. kept it low for now as to fly under the radar of the bookkeeper, but will adjust up when she will let me buy new tires. rides great too.

Haven't gotten mine yet due to being on backorder, but I went with 6112/5160 and my wife is only letting me do a 1" front lift as it is difficult for her grandma and my mom to get in and out at stock height. Looking forward to installing it, but I have my days where I think I should have looked into the Dobinson route.

I got mine for $892 shipped new, it was too good of a deal to pass up and I am sure the ride quality will be better than stock and I honestly don't need to be crazy lifted so the Pro'ish height will work well for my needs.

Very happy with the SPC UCA's for $400.....I would get some if you go 2.5 or more.
