Female USB Port for Glove Compartment iPod

I'm looking for a USB extender with a female port that can be installed into the glove box so the plug sits flush with the plastic. I know I saw it in somebody's glovebox around the forum, but I can't find it now.

Anybody have links to a product or experience with this?

I really like this idea! I just have a quick question for you...Does you Pioneer head unit have 2 USB ports or did you have to buy some sort of a USB splitter?

I just bought a new head unit (haven't even received it yet) and I'm pretty sure it only has 1 USB port. I would love to be able to have 1 port dedicated to my Ipod at all times and have another available for a UBS drive, iPhone, or other device when I would like it.

I have a Pioneer DEH-P710BT (DEH-P710BT - Premier? CD Receiver with Full Motion OEL Display, Built-In Bluetooth and USB Direct Control for iPod | Pioneer Electronics USA), which has a two USB port dongle on the back. It came with a regular USB cord as well as one for the iPod/iPhone. But it sucked that the cords had to be plugged into the dongle at the back of the stereo.

This way, I have one port available below the cigarette lighter for my USB jump drive and the one you see above for anyone who wants to charge their iPhone/iPod/Android device or play another USB jump drive.

I'm from a different forum. It's a very small one it is entirely supported by members. No advertisement. there I have learned the power of searching for something your damn self. And not taking up useless space and starting a million threads on the same subject that's already been covered. Yes a forum is for sharing information, ideas, projects, giving advise, bs'ing, meeting new people with the same hobbies and often enough giving support to someone that is going through a hard time. NO IMO a forum is not for posting threads about wanting to know this or that without even searching for it once. If you have searched for it and then post up some links or pictures and ask for our opinions on which one some of us have used or think is a better option yeah. I'm for that. But seriously... Take the Time you spent posting this useless thread and just ****ing search for it.

Some people search and don't come up with what they were looking for. I think there are some good ideas posted in this thread, especially the factory USB/AUX switch I'm sure a lot of people would not know existed before finding it here. That's the point of a car forum. No one asked you to read this thread.

Seriously? If you don't like what is in the thread then don't read it or post a response, simple as that. Posting a longwinded response that tells the OP to search for it does not help at all. You should take you own advice and use the time you spent complaining and telling the OP to search and spend it posting something useful/helpful in a different thread.

I missed that, my bad. But why not just leave it at that? Sure the OP probably didn't search as long or as hard as he could have, but there have still been some good ideas posted here so I don't see the thread as a complete waste of time/space.

I agree. Some subjects have been beaten to death. This is not one of them. I found the thread interesting with info I hadn't seen before. And I read this sub-forum every day.
