Fender bender means I need a new front end - but what kind?

Hey guys, I was recently in an accident where I rear ended another vehicle. I had around 1500 km on my 4runner about 3 weeks after I picked it up. Needless to say it was a bad weekend.

I have been looking at installing some sort of aftermarket bumper instead of going with the OEM one. I have had a bit of difficulty finding something that first of all I like, and second, doesn't have a ridiculous delivery time. One of the issues as I see it, is that I am new to the community and really don't know where to look. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There's really only a few companies that make a front bumper for our trucks. Shrockworks, ARB, SouthernSpeed&Style (hybrid), or 4x4labs. I'm sure CBI will eventually have one for us one day, but that's about it.

If you want something yesterday, ARB is your best bet.

I'm in the same boat I damaged my front bumper last week too. I found that the ARB bumper can be had pretty quick but for me it's to big. The Shrockworks bumper is my fav that I have found but the lead time can be lengthy. Once I work everything out with the insurance I'll probably order the Shrockworks and ride around with a busted up front till it comes in.

If you want something yesterday, ARB is your best bet.

If it's only 3 weeks old the OP probably has a 2014. Not sure if the ARB bumper is compatible with the redesigned front end. That being said, my ARB bumper arrived in Calgary about a week after I ordered it.

If I had to pick anything at all it would probably be shrockworks, though the southern speed&style doesn't look too bad either. It just doesn't make sense to go with any OEM parts because they'd get changed out down the road anyways. Might as well speed up the process right?

Intruder, you're correct in that assumption. I imagine part of the difficulties in finding any selection of bumpers has to do with the age of the T4R.
