Fender liner mod ?s & 275/60/20 potential issues

I know its on here somewhere but can't find good info on the fender liner mod. Looking under the bumper there are several screws/plastic rivets and I'm not sure where to start. Don't want to get part way through and have to go looking for answers. Any help or direction where to find it on here would be great.

Also, I went ahead and had the 275/60/20s Cooper AT3s which it seems a lot of others have done. However, now I'm seeing info about them being too wide for the stock Limited rims. Anyone have issues? My tire shop never said anything about it. Just looking for some reassurance or the need to go to a different tire. Thanks in advance.

Lay down under your front fender and you will see 2 bolts along the very bottom edge. Remove these and the liner can be pushed forward about an inch or more. Measure an inch back (toward the tire) and drill new holes in the liner. Then reattach the liner. You can trim the fender lip itself with a good sharp box cutter knife. I did this a few months ago after procrastinating all summer about it because my left front tire had a slight rub. With that size tire you may also need to remove or trim your mudflaps. Same deal. Turn the wheel until you see the contact point. Then mark and remove the mudflaps for trimming. It takes maybe 10 minutes per side.

I can't answer to the tire fit question though. Sorry.
 
I didn't notice anything different on mine. The right side liner has some mysteriously useless vent cutouts in it, but nothing that would prevent relocating it.
 
When I was getting fitted for snows...the 275/55/20 was spot on and has 0 clearance issues with a stock suspension setup. Very close in areas but no rubbing and no noises. Just did a 1000+ mile rally through the backroads of MN and didn't miss a beat!

Ok, good to know. The 275/55/20 actually says it requires a larger rim so that makes me feel better. Thanks for the info.

But it's not really. It may have initially been designed that way but you get just as much if not more air through the grill opening. I took a look at that area a few weeks ago when that question came up elsewhere. Someone was worried about snow and ice packing those openings up in the fender well.
