fender splash shields

nope, not in this dirtbags opinion, spend the money on new clips, some rubber washers and the rest on a fkn big box of wine not whine :biggrin1:

yup my buddy basically stopped me from buying it. He said its not an upgrade, but a replacement if you need it.

I made aluminum ones for my truck. If you've got the right tools its pretty easy. Page 56 of my build thread.

that is beautiful!!! I wonder why there isn't more companies making it. I"m pretty sure there is a demand for it, and if not, you just "make" the demand" via social media these days.

Right!

Side note I have seen the, with vent cuts for errr... jeeps.

got my Ark splash guards on today. went on as expected. 2 small spots needed a quick trim with a razor blade. otherwise no real issues. I expect one rivet to pull out as its pretty tight due to the KDSS lines. If it happens, i'll just drill a hole in the splash guard and use one of the holes on the KDSS bracket/guard ting.

Is it the stock "splash Shields" or just the clips that hold them that are failing? I need to replace the clips on my 2018 Turd, but the rubber is fine.

the clips get loose from I assume the thinner splash shields flapping and moving, causes an slightly annoying rattling, gets worse with age. lots have replaced the clips and added a rubber washer to help minimize the clips movement.

On my 2004 (4th gen), the factory shields were not rubber, and a mechanic destroyed them when he replaced my exhaust manifolds, but didn’t tell me.

My Rad Rubber shields have been great. I don’t know anything about 5th gen shields.
