Sand hill doesn't look steep at all...but check out the other 2 pic...very steep and soft sand.

Yeah..it was very steep and soft...it was very hard to get momentum from where I was at...if I tried go any faster from that little hill, my front bumper will hit before I can get up.

Is that off the hwy 39 and the 210? I know the rincon shortcut road that you have to get the combo at, but where do you go to get to the spot you were at?

Yeah...Hwy 39 should be Azusa... so just go north all the way up and you won't be able to miss it. After passing the 2nd stream and all those rocks...there should be lots of soft sand on the side of the mtn. Check out the pic...I was far from the mud area...
