Few quisteions about fog lights...

OK guys...I have a 2003 4Runner SR5 that didn't have fog lights from the factory. I want to buy the OEM replica housings.... But how would i go about getting the controls and wiring like factory? It has tthe connectors for the foglights behind the bumper. Could I order a headlight stock from Toyota and put it in or would I have to wire in a aftermarket switch (would prob get one from a FJ or Taco. Since it has the wiring for it behind the bumper I would tjinknit has it in the steering column.

Honestly, the easiest thing I would think is to buy all the OEM lights you want and run all the wires to a tacoma or fj switch. It seems easier than getting a whole new stalk for the steering column if it doesn't have the fog light switch in it...

I want it to be as factory as possible... But well see when I get the funds.

The FJ switch fits in the blanks to the left of the steering column or on the center console. It would look just as factory as the stalk switch. Check out this thread, post number 4 has a picture of an FJ switch in the center console. I did the same to wire up some strobes for my volly department.

Snag a copy of the wiring diagram, look at the connector going into your signal stalk assembly and see if it has wiring for fog lights?

I would assume it does already, since it would make production easier. The FJ Switch is a good idea also, it looks clean and factory like also.
