Fightman's Build Thread

Took a ride out with the "OTHER WOMAN".... even had a nap together! (my kid fell asleep in the backseat, so I decided to pull over, and catch some ZZZ's too.. lol!)

I thought those Procomps always looked so good on a 4Runner, it's almost very classy that never fades in time. I'm not suggesting you do it, but have you ever contemplated about matte blacking them? I bet your 4Runner would be just as mean.

Do they get Autosol treatment on a regular basis? They seem lustrous and kept well.

Take care man!:D

That isn't the new house is it? Exciting, but as one grows older and accumulates more stuff, moving becomes a real PITA.

This is the house we're gonna be putting an offer on.... Moving is a PITA!! lol! Only doing it, because finding work that pays, has been nearlyl impossible. Instead, I've been able to get an in, working on the CN railroad. I'll be starting out working as a Foreman, making $29/hr. Something I'd never see working Security.... :D

As for my Procomps.... never thought of blacking them out... I like the polished aluminum. :D Durable, and look great for years, IF YOU USE AUTOSOL! They get the treatment 2 or 3 times a season. :)

You know you have kick a$$ wax when......

It's been 6mths since you last did a wax job... and your paint looks like this on a rainy day..... :D

What wax are you using? I'm still using some Dupont Teflon that I bought over 5 years ago. I can't justify buying any new wax until this bottle runs out, which at the pace I am going, will be sometime in 2020.

I use this....

Costs me around $12.00/bottle. :D I do it twice a year.... but I like to overkill! :D I says it's a polish, but it's got wax like properties. It actually acts as a second Clear coat, and protects your paint. :)

That's too funny. I assumed you were using some high dollar wax, but Nu Finish is actually good stuff. My dad swore by it when he detailed cars growing up. Maybe I'll have to grab a bottle next time I am picking up detail supplies!

I've used Turtle Wax, Meguiar's, Mother's..... they all pale in comparison to the durability and shine I get with NuFinish. Not to mention the price! I've been using this stuff for ages.... :)

Here's a pic of the front of both the house and garage....

The garage is a teardown, but if my new job works out, and I'm still there in the spring.... I'll be building a whole new one! :)

Cleaned, unpacked and organized some stuff in the garage!

Bigger than my last garage.... but not as nice looking work benches... oh well!

It looks great Fightman. You can always improve the space; it is always a problem when you run out of it.

I guess you don't have the heavy bag hanging yet?

Is the bus coming too?

No bus.... the wife is taking some time off to get settled... and won't be hanging the bag up in the garage.... the ground is too uneven. I'll end up twisting an ankle or something, trying to throw spin kicks... lol!

Might set it up in the my furnace room... got a nice little corner there, and some beefy floor beams I can hang it off of! :D

congrats on the upgrade fightman,
how are the ceramic pads holding up with the ATE rotors? My crappy certified pads are starting to imprint again, what brand pads did you use?
I can only get the Wagner thermoquiet out here, unless i wait a month for the local shipping
the certified rotors are holding out good, seems the pads i am using are crappy, let me know before i go try the ceramics

Hey man.... I don't know how my brakes are doing yet... haven't taken the wheels off in a while... Planning on taking them off today, to swap over to my winter set.... I'll let you know what they look like. :)

I CAN tell you this.... they still brake nicely. :D
