HA HA! Another non-salt belt guy... lol! Alright... here's the scoop... that's not all rust... 
Alot of that is years of oil and grease which I have applied over the course of the 10years of ownership. The orange looking stuff is rust... the rest is a thick coat of grease covered in sand and other road debris.
It looks disgusting.... but it's the only way to keep the truck from deteriorating too badly. There hasn't been a single bolt or not that I haven't been able to remove and re-use on this truck, unless it was part of the exhaust.

I started removing the rust on the rear quarter panel on the 4Runner...
So far, I've grinded it down, added some fresh paint, and applied some grease to the inner lip and under the fender trim.... More pics of that to follow...
I'm curious how you're handling this. I need to deal with this as well. I have the wider flares on my 2002 and can feel rust flaking the metal out from behind the flares.

So far, I've grinded away all the rust, and touched it up with touchup paint. My plan is to fill in the crevice it created with paint, wet sand it smooth, then clear coat it. Once the clear coat is set, I'm planning on wet sanding that... and polishing it with a rubbing compound, and Mother's Polish.
But first... I have to find a can of Evergreen Pearl, as my local Canadian Tire has discontinued the color/size I used to buy... and don't carry it anymore..

They are just some generic driving lights... you can pick them up at any autoparts store....

Well, while putting on those stabilizer links a couple of weeks ago, I noticed my driver side inner CV boot was torn, like my passenger side one was a month before.. :/
I ordered some new inner and outer boots, and decided to install them today. The process was the same, only when I bought a 30mm socket to take the large nut off the axle, it turns out it doesn't fit.... because this side was 35mm?? My best guess.... the passenger side was replaced prior to my owning it, which is why the nut was 30mm, rather than 35mm like everybody else's.
Anyway.... after I managed to get a socket from a neighbor... the job went smoothly.... and all is well in Mean Green Land...
I ordered some new inner and outer boots, and decided to install them today. A new axle? I didn't do that for 2 reasons....
1) 2 boots is cheaper than an axle...
2) I figure, the axle isn't making any noises, all looked good internally, and Toyota axles have to be stronger than aftermarket.
As for the nose... yeah... she definitely needed a tissue... but that's what kids are known for.... being snotty! lol!
If by breakers you mean those extension cords in the outlet back there... lol! Not so much... haven't had any issues yet. The garage is basically a teardown waiting to happen.... but with the house in full reno mode, and the foundation taking priority over a new garage.... I'm stuck dealing with this building for now.. lol!
Currently... it's dark.... the 4 lights I have in there, don't give out enough light to work on stuff in there. As for that plug... it's the only one in the entire garage.... major PITA!!! LOL!

Packing in the grease for me is a pain in the rear. I have rebooted others, but not enjoyed it.
That dedicated 220v outlet looks primed to have a 2 stage compressor hooked to it sometime in the future.

That 220 outlet is waiting for the welder I plan on buying... some day... when I can stop spending money on other stuff... lol!

Nah... no green under the truck for this guy... Maybe red... but rather it black.

Fightman, how does the truck ride with the new rack? Ive got my new Safari LTD rack, along with a plethora of other parts to install as soon as I get my other vehicle registered.
