I'm really contemplating this color.... but kinda conflicted on changing the color all together.... kinda like the green.... Not sure what to do!

If you do a color change, where you going paint the engine bay and interior or just paint the exterior?

what do i win?!? haha, I think it'd look good. I gotta say if I ever did a color change Dodge has a great Ceramic blue on their newer rams that I'm in love with.

I might get them to leave the engine bay alone... and I'll take care of that. IT's pretty dirty in there... and looks black anyway... so might just degrease it all, and then paint it black.
Here's a pic of what it looks like... I've never de-greased the firewall, and oil spray the truck every year... so it's blacker than Batman's underwear!
I'm planning on hiring a shop for this...
Dodge has some sweet colors... was actually considering one of their metallic reds... but thinking I'd rather have a Toyota Color on there.
That all being said, the truck needs some attention. The clear coat is starting to get white on the hood... and the roof looks like a solar system, with all the milky spots everywhere. Not to mention, I have a spot on my rear gate, that the "colision centre" repaired when I was rear ended a few years ago, that the bondo they used to fill a dent, cracked, and started rusting. I've been preserving it with a dab of grease since I noticed... and the spare tire hides it.
Also, my inner door jams continually rust... I wire wheel them, prime, and paint them annually... and well... it never seems to be enough. It just comes back.
There is a GM Dealership / body shop in town here, they apparently do really good work... thinking of bringing my old girl there for a facelift. :artist2:

If you send me a well-lit shot of your rig, I could photoshop it to give you a rough idea of the color. It probably wouldn't be until later tonight or tomorrow until I could do it.

Part of this deal, is she is getting a car... lol! She want's something smaller, tired of driving my Taco around, and wants something more fuel efficient. I've been looking at crossover SUV's, but can't find a decent looking one for my price range. I'm looking to buy something for around $8000.00... Then I can afford to paint the 4Runner.
She says she's happy with something like a Civic.... so not sure what I'm going to buy yet. I'd like to get her something with AWD, as the winters out here can be tough. That is why I had her driving the Taco... I have good Mud/Snow tires on there... and 4x4, but she's tired of the size of the truck.

I have to ask how about a used Rav4 or Highlander from 2008 and older? Both can be found in AWD and the Rav4 has a button to engage such (not on the newer ones). But knowing how bad rust can be good luck with finding one in good condition.
The Mazda CX-7 is another alternative, and came in AWD for you Canadians for both the GS and GT versions.

I kinda dig the color, but I am not a fan of "loud" colors. I like dark colors, or the typical grey, silver, black, white, etc.
I think that any well executed paint job looks better than a 20 year old paint job though.

Looks like red chrome hahaha, not very accurate. A fresh coat of evergreen pearl is amazing, but I'm a bit biased

Matching metallic colors is a beeeyotch. Someone with some actual skills needs to show me how.
I didn't think I'd like it while doing the match, but after I looked at it I did. It looks good to me. But will you still like it 5 years from now? That Toyota green is timeless. It will never look bad to me.
