Final production date of first generation 4Runner?

Does anyone know a final production day or at least the month that Toyota stop producing the first generation 4Runner? I can't seem to find any information when Google searching. Obviously I know 1989 is the final year.

I believe it was March, April, or May 1989. My dad's was the last month they made them and I can't remember which month it was.

Good question. I don't know but traditionally American auto factories would close down for the month of July to retool for the new models. I just bought a 2016 Tacoma that was manufactured in July in Texas. I think the new models start showing up in August so I bet the last ones were made in June or July. My '89 was made in October '88 IIRC. I'll check the door tag when it comes home in a few days from being painted arty:

I just found my dad's production date from a VIN check I did last year. It was May 20, 1989
