I will try and get a better shot for you tmrw, they are made by smittybuilt, 3/4" d rings in red.. they are mounted to stock hooks that are located in the front (2) and in the rear (1) on the driver side

Are those considered 'adequate recovery points' or just a replacement for the tow mounts?

nice, ko2's are excellent tires. I have them on our 07 Tacoma and love them!

Smittybilt 3/4" d rings, I bought them from amazon. You can see in the picture below how they are mounted to the factory recovery points.

So far driving over highway, potholes, fire roads and there is no problem with hearing any rattle inside the cabin...

After a long wait, I finally picked up my new runner on friday. Put in weathertech floor liners before we even left the dealer. Only other mods so far are the smittybilt hitch step and the red tow d rings, more to come for sure!

Looks great. I've got the same Smitty step on the back of mine. If you flip it over it gives you an inch or two more clearance for the departure angle.
