bought it from second owner that got it 19 years ago. he towed it behind a rv.
leaf springs are completely shot! clutch is slipping a little and needs shocks and few small things.

Man that thing doesnt need to see trails! It needs to pampered and waxed and cuddled. At least only take it on light trails with no worries of dinging into something or pinstriping it on brush. Its beautiful from the pictures!

That's a really clean survivor, congrats. I don't know what you paid for it, but these trucks in that condition are starting to get really strong money. Keep that thing pretty!

looks pretty nice. Just pray that that at the window and door lock switch on the driver side does not go bad. You cannot find one anywhere. It only came in an 88 and an 89 SR5 fully loaded model. Some of the other SR5 had a single individual window switch. I've been looking for one for over 6 months now. With absolutely no luck! I've tried hitting up all of the huge wrecking yards that deal only in Toyotas and none of them even have them or have seen one.

thanks

:becky:, thanks yall for all the kind words. it does have maybe 5 or 6 smaller dings that i plan to see if ding doctor can get out. then im going to do a full paint correction and polish. i do need to have the removable top painted. also has few rock chips that ill have to touch up. i wont be hardcore offroading it but , going to be camping in it and mild trailing it with my 4 year old daughter! she loves it but says she wished it was pink. lol
within the next few days ill be starting the mild build up on it! parts are on the way!

EDIT: PICS OF SOME OF THE WORK IVE STARTED.

ball joint spacer 1.5"

front shocks

front finished.

rear ome cs009r leafs:

saggy ohm leaf...

MORE PICS OF FINISHED REAR SOON AS WELL AS COMPLETE FINISHED LIFT PICS. RIGHT NOW I HAVE 405 LBS OF RAW WEIGHT IN BACK TO HELP THE SETTLING BREAK IN. ITS ROUGH AS SHIT RIGHT NOW!!!

That master switch/door card was on early turbo models too. Very rare indeed.

Yeah I realized that after mine got broke. The stupid lock button got hit and snapped off. Tore it all apart trying to get it to work and dump the leaves are crossed but now the driver's window refuses to work about 90% of the time....

Truck is in beautiful condition! Nice find.
Are you the guy on FB selling your tires?

That was me. I was going to get something a little bigger. Now i decided i may just get new wheels. I see you live not too far away. Maybe on another meet up ill c ya.

Whats this master switch door card yall speak of? Are you speaking about the switch assembly on the doors that raise the windows up and down?

Yeah, all those door components are very rare. The bezel behind the handle and the door pull cups too. The last switch I saw on ebay was being sold for upward of 250 dollars. It might have been for the driver and passenger side, but still. That's a lot of coin.

Dang. Guess i better take care of of door panels and switches. Lol

Good looking truck! Pls keep us posted on the build.

Also interested in the Anza-Borrego trail exploration. I hope not too technical for a stock vehicle.

ill make a mild build thread. ill be starting on it in just a couple days. parts are slowly showing up. things ill be doing in a few days are:

2.0 ball joint spacer kit then turn down torsions
arb leaf springs
oem clutch kit
oem clutch master cylinder
oem clutch slave cylinder
kyb steering stabilizer
skyjacker black max shocks (got them sale 40 each)
pioneer bluetooth stereo,5 channel amp and speakers
oem rear main seal (piece of mind since doing clutch)
alarm
hub conversion kit auto to manual
aisin manual hubs
knuckle groan stoppers( hate that squeak at full lock steer!)
change ALL fluids( diffs,trans,trans case,brakes,radiator,etc..)

planning to mount the bfg ko2's on cragar soft 8 wheels.

Very good find, indeed. If you wouldn't mind me asking how much you paid for it? You can PM me if you want. Again, congrats!

If you haven't already ordered the clutch, I'd recommend Marlin Crawler HD. I got mine for ~$150 (for the 22RE engine but I can't imagine the 3VZ one would be much more).
