Finally in another 3rd gen

Bought my second 3rd gen this afternoon and couldn't be happier. My first was a 99' SR5 with 265,000 on it when I did a straight trade with my brother for his 2004 Audi A4 with 139,000 on the clock. My intent was to sell it and buy another 4runner with less miles so I could do modifications and get the most out of them.

Came across this 2001 SR5 with 195,000 miles, a little more than I'd like but it had the timing belt and water-pump done less than 10k miles ago. Paid $4,500 and hope to start doing some stuff to it soon.

For now, have small plans while in school but once summer comes, the real fun will begin. Have the Ultimate Protection Package from Weather Tech on order as well as a new head unit, Kenwood DPX500BT Double-Din. Needs new upholstery, still deciding whether to get custom fit seat covers or reupholstered all together, any thoughts?

Gorgeous truck, congrats. For the mileage and the apparent condition based on that photo, 4500 is a good price. Especially in this area. I like that color too.

The inside is a little rough but hoping after I do the seat covers and weather tech package, we will look good as new again. the color is what originally caught my attention and the price was definitely a plus. Headed up to Gwynn Island off Middle Peninsula to pick it up. I've seen gas here for up to around $3.30 and it was at $2.97 there. :wow2: That alone was worth it

Really like the color combo, didn't know that they had two-tone SR5s.

Only the flares are two-tones as versus on the limited when they have the additional piece running across the bottom of both doors with the second color tone. At least that what I think..
Color combo is one of my favorites, a little skeptical after I saw a couple threads of people saying how much they hated the color but couldn't be happier.
