First impressions.... It's beefy and well made... Love the tig welded joints.. Very smooth.... Josh must have the hands of a midget as it took me over a hour to manage the 4 bolts as I struggled to start the nuts on them as I couldn't get my hands under there due to my fat fingers... Finally got them to catch and then it was slow going as I didn't have a ratcheting wrench but now it's all set and it isn't going anywhere

Painted it in my garage with 4.5 cans of Krylon primer+paint in black

It was lower profile than I expected which was a good thing

Now the wait continues for my Gobi ladder to arrive!

where are you getting a Gobi ladder?

I'm also interested in one to complement my own WMW roof rack; too bad we can't convince Josh to offer these... :)

I ordered from EAD offroad... Should be arriving in a week or two... I think it was 216 bucks and free shipping... Ordered it on the same day I pulled the trigger on the wmw

Rack looks nice!

Are your flares and bumper painted black? If so do you have more pictures? I have been thinking about doing mine that way but I'm really not sure how the front will look.

Nice man!! I'm glad to see it made it with only one gaping hole in the wrap lol. I have the same truck too!! The trick to getting the nuts on the studs is to lift one side of the rack until the studs just poke through the mounts then start one nut, then the other, set the rack down and tighten the nuts. A ratcheting wrench is a huge help, sometimes the holes in the floor line up to get a socket down through. Looking good man!! Any plans for a fairing yet?

BTW your garage is way too clean!!

I was going to suggest that if the mesh blocks access to the bolts on future racks, to cut out one strand like you already do for the vertical supports on the rack the "v"'s so that way anyone can remove and put on theirs in record time, albeit might make it easier to have it walk away one night....

My landlord is a neat freak so it is especially clean but I can't complain as it is a boon on those cold -20 nights in Minnesota

Gotta love those imperial jade mica T4Rs

I just bought this 4runner this past December so they looked like that when I got them , they are indeed a brilliant black so I think they were painted because I do see what seems to be some overspray on the arches
