I'll add my .02 on this since I just went through all of this myself. Absolutely 285s is my opinion. It does depend on what you plan to use the rig for but for me, I love my 285s. You can feel the change in unsprung weight but its not horrible. Mine fit with no rubbing at all and I can flex the heck out of them.
The kit did not come with brake lines.
It rides like butter when you get everything dialed in but be ready for some issues. As everyone has said, your CV boots will not last long. I had a bad vibration in mine which I have gotten about 90% better. I greased all zerks on my driveshaft and that solved the majority of it. I think the driveshaft getting spread opened up more space where there was probably already no grease. Mine is riding pretty good now.
I did not go with aftermarket UCAs. I figured I'd go ahead and give it a try on stock ones, give my springs time to settle out, get my height adjusted where I want it to stay after they settle, and then at that time before my final alignment (for awhile) I'd decide on the UCAs. My specs all came well into the green window for each part on the alignment with stock UCAs and with a -12 mm offset wheel I have no rubbing on the stock UCA.
I went with the 550lb springs and man its so smooth. No aftermarket bumper or added weight to the front of mine. It rides really good, like seriously.
You are going to want to get a panhard correction kit from eimkeith. You can def. feel the rear end trying to recenter itself everytime you hit a bump/dip. That's next on my list.
You can build your own headlights with ease. As much as I know it'd be easy to buy them I would say do them yourself. What people charge for doing retrofits is nuts to me. I know its a lot of work but good gracious.
I installed my own lift and it wasn't bad. Took a day with many breaks. My vibration problem is what really messed me up.
In addition I'll add, I went with the standard 3" springs, not the superflex ones. The Boss provides a significant amount of lift. I can't imagine how high the back would be on mine if I would've gotten those.
Let me know if I can answer anymore questions you have. I'm still learning day by day too. Lots of people have already put some good info on the thread.
