check that out on the Tundra Solutions someone is selling a 02 calipers for $60 plus shipping. thats a deal if some wants to also do the upgrade.

I will painting my calipers today!



I went to Autozone and got my pads and Calipers.

LESSON learned: Carbon metallic pads are better than ceramic.
My pads SQUEAK SO BAD!

okay the 199mm isnt bad, but what if i wanted to do the 231mm like the first guy?

What year truck are they from? Rotors too? What size wheels would i need?

i believe the 199mm S13WE pre 2002. The 231mm 13WL I orderd were the 2005 tundra version. I believe that this is the one used for the post TSB upgrade because they had problems with the S13WE warping on the tundra although it is sufficient to stop a 4runner. I just thought the bigger the better.

Rotor wise...i also chose the 2005 rotors although i don't think they changed anything on the rotors.

Wheels...couldn't tell you. My 22s have no problem but i think you might need 17s. Anyone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

231mm = later '03 Tundras - newer

Rotors should be same throughout.

Wheels size...well bigger is better, but you can get by with a 16" wheel. You just have to do some grinding on the caliper and wheel itself. I've been tempted to try out a 231mm caliper on my 4runner. Need to see much grinding is needed.

wel i'm pretty sure a few 03+ Tundras were fitted with 16" wheels, so if i get a set of aftermarket 16"s i should be okay, right? Anyone know for sure before i go and drop all my cash on some wheels that don't fit?

I did the Sequoia to make it easier.
I got it from a junkyard.

Same Caliper as Tundra. Went to Autozone and got Tundra (2005) rotors and pads.

NO PROBLEMS!

I stop on a dime!

NO MORE WARP!!!

okay wheel size shouldn't be a problem, I'm working on a set of 17" Sequoia wheels.

So calipers, pads, rotors all from a 2005 Tundra or Sequoia and I'll be all set?

Anyone ever try throwing the Sequoia rear disc brakes on the 4R?

You are good to go then.

That combo should work fine.

AS far as the rear, I have not messed with it. Just left it as drums.
To me, they are easier to deal with as far as adjustments.

Should be no issues.

can you please go in depth on how you put on the decal's?

i ordered a set, i dont plan on using them on tundra brake calipers but on the painted stock OEM.

you put them on then applied a clear coat over them?
