Finally!!!

After probably 2 months plus chasing down a stumble, I finally solved it! What started as a slight stumble at idle, then got worse under low rpm, then proceeded to chug at all partially opened throttle, all the way to....how much am I willing to suffer for this thing.....bam....the last thing I would of thought of; a bad plug with a cracked insulator on six month old factory Densos.

What else did I try you ask.... well,
pulled the TB 3 times, checking for clogged coolant lines, testing TPS, retesting TPS....
replaced almost every vacuum line....
testing almost every vacuum opening....
pulled AFM twice for testing...retesting...
pulled entired EGR system....
disabled PAIR system.....
replaced rotor, cap, and plug wires.....
reverified timing belt....from replacement job a few months ago....
hours proding, pulling, checking wire harnesses, shorts, leaks, etc....
getting ready to buy either a new AFM or TPS or both.....

and now......wow! It finally runs right again. You just don't know what a weight off me this is. I was getting so frustrated. I guess I can stop searching the classified for FJ80's now!

That's always a relief when it ends up being something cheap and easy. Its just unfortunate when one puts themselves through hours and hours of stressing and problem solving before finding it was something unexpected and right under your nose all along. Glad you got it sorted out. :thumb:

Plus, I'm probably one of five people on this board who now knows what the PAIR system actually does! :biggrin2:

Onto paint and body!
